OUR LADY`S ROSARY MAKERS
" IN THESE DECADES OF THE ROSARY, OUR HEARTS CAN CONTAIN ALL THE EVENTS MAKING UP THE LIFE OF THE INDIVIDUAL, OF FAMILY, OF THE NATION, OF THE CHURCH, OF THE HUMAN RACE; THINGS THAT HAPPEN TO US, TO OUR NEIGHBORS, AND PARTICULARLY TO THOSE NEAREST TO US…POPE John Paul II
Our Lady’s Rosary Makers is a non-profit organization devoted to producing and distributing FREE rosaries to Missions throughout the World. Millions of mission rosaries have been made and sent around the World. Think of the prayer power! Countless more rosaries are needed.
Members consist of volunteers devoting two hours a week to weaving beads and string or wire into meditative rosary. Membership is easy and spiritually rewarding.
Our local Rosary Makers meet every Thursday from 9-11 a.m., beginning in October and runs through May. The rosary makers meet in classroom #8. In addition to making rosaries to send to the missions overseas, the rosaries are provided for our the First Communion class and second graders as well as for the RCIA candidates, and for distribution in the prison. St. Polycarp Rosary Makers complete 30 rosaries per week. Two hundred fifty to five hundred rosaries at a time are sent to missionaries.
Some of the places the rosaries are distributed include: Jerusalem, Africa, India, Asia, as well as The Two Hearts in Dover, and rosaries are sent to EWTN for distribution worldwide.
Volunteers are welcome and needed.
