LITURGY
Our Sanctuary
Lamp (the
red candle burning to symbolize the Real Presence of Christ in the
Eucharist) burns in our church in memory of Catherine Decker (requested by
Jimmie & LaVerne Dykes) and in St. Ann Chapel for the deceased members
of the Saber & Brown families (requested by Rita Brown).
Bread & Wine this
weekend are given in thanksgiving for the particular graces God has
granted to us and our community through St. Polycarp Parish.
Flowers Honoring Our Lord at
the Altar are given
by Mr. & Mrs. Bill Pajerowski, in loving remembrance of their son,
Bill. May our Lord loving
embrace him.
Altar Servers Appreciation Day with Bishop Saltarelli, Oct.
3, 3 PM, at
St.
John the Beloved on
Milltown Rd.
Report to the hall by 2:15 PM
and dress nicely (not in robes) with NO sneakers or jeans, please.
Servers will process in to Mass together and sit in a reserved
section. During refreshments afterward, each server will receive a memento
from the Bishop and have an opportunity to pose for pictures.
We need to know by Friday if you are attending, so we can call in
the number to the Vocations Office. Call
